The price is sure right on the dolphin.

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
IMO cluttering under a stand to quiet noise isn't worth it. Even in a container you will still here it, I ran mine through 10' of hose and in paper towels and was still noisy. I ended up opting on creating back pressure on the pump with a valve, though not a good idea as it strains the pump.

Can any manifold go on the dolphin or just the one it comes with?
You could use anything you wanted just would have to use adapters.
Chris
How many do you have?

Only need it for about two tanks and most likely an aging barrel. Only reason I wanted to go big was if I ended up expanding, then I wouldn't need to buy another pump. Rick, since the dolphin puts out 30 lpm and the AL-15A puts out 20 lpm doesn't that mean the dolphin is more powerful?
NO, although it would seem that way, lpm is only part of the equation. The alita will have alot more psi at it';s rated output and can handle twice as many tanks. the trouble with getting to large a pump is your going to have to vent alot of air, or risk damaging the pump. Venting alot of air will be very loud!
