My son and I broke through the wall today.
Now that my wife has finally finished her PhD, I am able to spend a little more time on the 240 build. It's going much slower than I had originally planned, but I'm ok with that. Hopefully in the coming months I'll have water in the display and get my cycle started .

no doubt - this hunk of glass takes at least 6 to move! I would have gone acrylic but my CFO (Wife) was not going for the extra $$ required for that investment.

This thread needs a build update!
So, to catch everyone up who might not have seen my other threads. 10 - 2.5" discus were picked up from Hans on September 13.

Here is the grow out set-up. I just moved them from my 40b to a 65.


My neighbor and friend is a Master Electrician (lucky me!). Today we installed a dedicated panel which will have dedicated 20 amp circuits for my water pump, heater, lights, and air pump.




I have 3 GFI outlets running above the tanks and 3 below that will run off of the GFI's above.


I also installed an outlet on the DIY tank stand that will be on a toggle switch for my water transfer pump.

Next to the big tank 3 quad GFI's are going in to support the mechanicals on the big tank.

That's it for now. More to come...
I have 25 people coming over for Thanksgiving and will move the 240 into place so I can start building out the stone surround and drywall (greenboard) canopy.

We've got the makings of a LOGDKG here in Northern VA! Nothing formal, just an occasional visit to see each others fish and grab a beer or soda, or whatever floats your boat.
