    So couple months have went by and I decided to setup a 75 gl planted tank for these guys. we will se how it goes. they have adjusted well so far.

    Great job on this group. It is interesting how some of them just didn't get as big as some others. Just goes to show us how much genetics plays a part on size and shape despite the best care.

    thanks, I agree. they have been in the same tank and same situation from the start. I have debating pulling the 2 small ones out and into their own tank for a bit to see if they put on anymore size.

    new pic after moved into the 120 gl, this group is over 1 year in the house and my biggest in there is Big Red, who I measured the other day at 6.75 inches
    cant see him real well in this pic but easy to find in the pic above in the planted tank.

    all doing well but I like showing this guy off. he was 2.5 inches like the rest when I got him about 15 months ago.

    Now is is slightly over 6.5 inches and rules the tank

    Hey Tom - he looks great. Is that a Stendker? I have one that is very similar, from Hans. I think I also see some blue diamonds in there - did you find them to be slow growers relative to the overachievers like big red here?

    I will get around to posting my update this weekend so you can see how similar the two are.

    Hi Greg, actually this group is my Asian group. Big Red is a Red Scarlet from Malaysia. I do find all the Blue Diamonds are slower growers. thanks...

    it has been a while since I updated this group. these guys have now been in my house since Sept 2013.
