You got it in one piece? It looks great.

Siliconing it is a smart idea. I removed mine for now as one panel will not stay flush with the back. I will tell you that the fish feel more secure with the background then without.
Awesome! Can't wait to see this evolve!

I don't really like sumps but with a tank this size I think it is the way to go. Since I am a proponent of big water changes I really don't need anything too elaborate. I'm using a 20 gallon with some poret and bio balls. Pat knows there is only one thing I would put in a tank this size. Yes it is Wilds. I've struggled and failed miserably to get wilds to breed but here I go again. I have 7 in QT being treated right now. I actually bought them before I found the tank. They came from John (Snookn21). 5 Cuipeua super red and 2 Alenquer red. I saw on John's website that he had these coming in before he posted them here. Originally he had them as large. When they arrived at his place he changed them to XLarge. These guys are huge. The largest 2 are over 7" (Yes measured with a tape). They are doing great but have a couple more rounds of meds and qt before they go in the new tank. The first to go in the tank will arrive Wednesday. I was lucky enough to see Mark's (Discus Origins) sale post right when he posted and jumped on the 4 Trombeta red he had left. Since these have been in Mark's tanks for some time I won't be treating them and they will go straight in the big tank. They will get the big tank all to themselves until the others come out of qt.
Who did you order from and what are you getting? I've read some of your other post and knew you were wanting wilds. Keep talking with Pat. She will help you get settled with them I'm sure.

That tank is going to be amazing!! The background is so realistic... I am in awe! I wish I could find some driftwood like that...
