    Default Growing out in 34g?

    Hello all,

I recently acquired 3 2" discus and plan to buy three more. My 34g (30"Lx18"Wx16"H) is a high tech planted tank. My discus are doing okay, but I would really like to devote a lot of time and effort to them, but less to the plants, and therefore I would like to convert my tank to BB. Could I grow out 6 of them in the 34g BB to about 5" or even full grown size and then transfer them over to a 55g planted? Also how big is the difference between a 75g and a 55g for the 6 fish?

    Thank you so much,
    Noah

I would have to say no to growing out to 5". For now, at 2", they will do fine in the 34. Once they get greater than 4" (that's if you add 3 more) you need to get them to at least a 55. If you don't already have a 55, I would get a 75.

How long will it take for them to reach 4 inches?
