240g Stocking Scheme

Hey everyone just thought I could get your feedback on the below stocking scheme for a 240g that will be lightly planted, have some driftwood, and a thin layer of PFS.

I will be doing 25% water changes every other day. I will have a fluval fx6 and a few sponge filters behind a 3D background for filtration.

Is it too many discus?
Will the cleanup crew not be sufficient?
Should I do more rummy nose?
Should I throw in a few german rams or something similar?

240g:
16 adult discus
25 rummy nose
3 bristlenose
3 real Siamese Algae Eaters (will keep a close eye on them as they grow for aggression toward discus, etc.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

That should not be over stocked, I would consider doing 50% every other day rather than 25%. IMO. Hth.

Also, it sounds like Amano shrimp may be a good cleanup crew. Maybe throw some of them in as well.

Thinking about the following now, added some bodies but reduced the discus to 14. The below wouldn't be overstocking on a 240g, would it?


Discus: 14 adult discus
Tankmates: 25 Rummynose, 5 red bristlenose, 5 German Rams, 3 Gold Rams, 8 silver hatchet
