How many angels can i keep in 180gal?
Im also thinking group of geophagus redhead tapajos and roselines, some rainbows and cories, clown loaches, congo tetras.
Its gonna have massive sump filtration tho. Enough k1 media for maybe 300-400gal.

I'm also into angelfish. Particularly with the platinum and koi angelfish. The only thing that worries me is that when I order my discus from Hans , can I keep them in the same room(separate tanks of course ) without the fear of cross contamination. I perform daily water changes and wipe down my tanks once a week.

In recent years the popularity of Angels has grown because of the work of Ken Kennedy and several others. There are two Facebook groups I recommend Angelfish Geeks and Angelfish Breeders - you can find some quality fish for a great price.

We have 6 angels (6+ months old), 8 adult discus (18-39 months old), 16 emperor tetras, 9 lemon tetras, 6 cardinal tetras, 6 yoyo loaches, 5 sterbai corydoras, 5 longfin bristlenose ancistrus (3 regular & 2 albino) & 6 endlers livebearers in our lightly planted 135.

Aside from one of the angels joining the discus when they attack dithers, no new problems since adding the angels in January.

No aquatic creatures were harmed in the creation of this signature, although a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Here is an angel that looks similar to the one in the first image but which has very different genetics: this is an F2 from a koi x albino silver pearlscale veil. He is technically a Silver Gold Marble Blushing Veil. When crossed to a koi with pearlscale gene they throw koi, koi pearlscale, albino koi pearlscale, albino koi. (sorry for the quality, while eating this morning; the curly things are small white worms floating around)

I love some angel fish. I'm not really into the designer ones, don't get me wrong I don't think they are horrid or anything, just not for me. Above all others the Altum is king as far as I'm concerned, after that I really like a number of the Scalare types, I guess it's obvious I much prefer the wild type fish

I also have raised Angels off and over the years. Very hardy fish.

Skip - My friend just bought a breeding pair of Koi for Angelfish Plus and they are that red! If you're not in a rush he will be selling the fry once they breed - really cheap!
