No. They could come out with no red or orange on them. I had a pair from Angels Plus that I paid good money for and they only produced a couple of orange out of the whole spawn. Koi angels that are that color require certain conditions when they are small to get them to color up and also they require color feeding from my understanding. Angels Plus is a master at getting the best color out of the fish they raise but for 90% of those that buy them to breed the color will be nothing like the parents. This is why he can sell his angels for the prices he sells them at.

I've been keeping angels on & off for 15 years now. I used to be all about the domestics, my taste changed about 18months ago when I got a group of wild peruvian scalare from Jeff Rapps at Tangled Up in Cichlids and they really blew me away. I liked the fiesty attitudes and I liked seeing their color and irridesence slowly come in as they got acclimated to my tank. I had to rehome them a few months back, but I just got a shipment of 8 F1 brazilians from Bill @ Inland Empire and they are looking great! I'm interested to see if they keep the same attitude as wild caught fish - so far they have been. Also if anyone is looking to get angels, I highly recommend Bill! All my fish came in very healthy and had perfect finnage.
Im not much of an Angelfish person......But......Here ya go Dave.........
Very nice Angels! I have to ask...what are you using for a substrate for the plant in the pot? I like that look
