Spring, finally.

The warmer weather has finally started to make it's way to the mid Atlantic. For this area that means Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC. They are at peak just in time for the festival this weekend.

Most of these shots were before sunrise or after sunset, for the light, but it also helps to thin the crowd a bit.

The B&W shots were taken with an old digital camera converted to IR and then processed to B&W.
Works best with trees that have green leaves, but I was just playing around.

Stan, I have visited DC as a tourist several times but never in the spring. My daughter now lives in rural south Maryland now so getting up that way more often.
