First time with fry

I got the spray paint idea from some where on here . I will keep you posted on the fry .

That could very well be, different genetic pairing.

I can't wait to see how the develop and change . Genetics is one thing I'm trying to learn more about but it makes my head want to explode .

So I think they are 1 month old today. All the fry seem to be doing well and eating like pigs . The parents were preventevily treated for parisites before breeding . Is there any reason to medicate the fry ? If so at what age ?

No, just change lots of water and wipe down the tank like crazy.

It's hard to tell from your pictures, do some of the fry not have the dark bar through the eye? When I had a RT and a BD spawn I got quite a variety of offspring. Everything from BD, to scorpions, to turks. Might have even missed one type, lol.

Thank you . From my reading int seems like 3 months is a pretty typical age . I am just a hobbyist breeder . Raising discus is not a planed source of income . What would be a reasonable asking price for my fry ? I know strain and lineage play a major factor. Again not trying to make a boat load (or even break even the way the little guys eat) Just trying to find good homes for them where they will be enjoyed as much as I have enjoyed them .

Quick update , culled my first group today . I am down to around 40 fry now . The rest are growing well and are now about the size of a quarter . These little guys eat FDBW out of my hand and go crazy for Hans's beef mix!
