Little home discus “hatchery” from Czech

Hey guys! I thought I would share my little home discus “hatchery”.

The setups :
- one 200cm x 60cm x 70cm = 840L (+/- substration, plants and woods)
- one 120cm x 60cm x 60cm = 432L (only water)
- three tanks for pairs 40cm x 60cm x 65cm = 156L each
- one 250L quaratine tank

Beautiful tank! Wow! I wonder how easy it is to get discus in Prague? Also, how do you manage water changes and chemicals? I lived in Bratislava for 3 years in the late 90's, never saw any discus there, only a couple local fish stores.

Don in Virginia - There are actually lots of discus breeders over here, so it's really easy to get some. The price is also way cheaper than from the US.

And that ladies and gentlemen is the proper european planted discus tank. No hightech nature aquarium with million fertilizers, lumen, etc, just usual sand, usual lights and maybe some root tablets. Thats it.

Absolutely stunning scape and beautiful fish! What type of filtration are you running? The tank didn't look drilled and it looks too close to the wall for external overflows but I didn't see intake or output for canister but I could have missed it while I was drooling over every thing else
