    Default Penn-Plax Battery Air Pump

    Has anyone used

Penn-Plax Silent AirŪ B11 Series Battery Operated Aquarium Air Pumps?

    I currently have

Marina Battery-Operated Air Pump by Marina.

Just want to compare the longevity of the two units and the reliability.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

I went to Gander Mountain here in Janesville and picked up a Frabill 1420 Aeration Unit that says it'll run 30+ hours on 2 D cell batteries. It's still new in the package, never ended up using it for it's intended purpose. I'm sure it was less than $10, but oddly they don't seem to offer it on their website.

The ones I got from Fosters offer a 3/pak for around $12.

Dang, that would have been a better value? 3 brand new pumps in unopened packages for $12?
