Cooper and I finally found some mushrooms. Both of us tired of walking through sticker bushes and finding nothing. Glad he like going out into nature with his dad and his faithful dog.

Very edible. These things sells stating at $40 a pound. Bread them and fry them in butter in a seasoned cast iron skillet. These are in my top 3 favorite things to eat. I can't even describe the deliciousness! Lol

Those are some nice looking Morel's. I seem to have a knack for spotting those, guess maybe I should make an effort if it's that time of the year.

Yummy, Morels are a delicacy, surprised peeps don't know what they are. sauteed in butter best way to eat them. Is Cooper your boy or your dog? Need to teach the dog how to sniff them out.

There is a place around here that grows those commercially. It is quite the process to get them to grow.

I remember growing up in Michigan my Great Grandmother had a secret place where she could find them, to bad she never showed anyone before she passed away.

I can believe that. A good mushroom spot is a very secret place.

Cooper is the kid. Benelli is the dog. Trust me
Rick, if I could train the dog to find morels I would work this time of year!

One has to be armed when mushroom hunting here in Oregon.... the mushroom hunters tend to "claim" a spot of land if they find a good area growing morels.
