Great to hear. The younger they are the more things can happen to stunt them

The one up front looks great. In the picture you sent of the stunted dark juvie there is an SS juvie in the picture to the right. Is that from the batch I sent? I have never noticed any SS fry in any of my previous spawns. Just curious.

Hi Mishka,

I have placed some of my larger, more aggressive eaters together in their own QT tank. I believe the fish you are referring to comes from Bill63SG and is an offspring from his Penang Eruption pair.

Regarding the stunted fish, any idea why she was always black? As you know, she came out of the bag black and never lightened up. She always had a good appetite, 90% daily water changes, yet never really grew. I wish that I knew more.....

No idea really. I did have a threq juvies that was like that though. One of my T-aqua offspring. It stayed dark until it was about 2 1/2" and then just stopped doing it. It would always lighten up for me during feeding and then turn dark after. Then one day it just didn't. Something could have happened during shipping and probably did since you said it was playing dead.
