My babies arrived a day early. The dog thinks they belong to him. He hasn't left the spot in front of the cage since they arrived this morning and he growls the other dogs a way when they get too close.

Now that picture made me smile Liz. Is he a lab mix of some sort?
As unlikely as it is, he appears to be a Shar-Pei/Basset mix. He and his sister showed up 9 years ago under my old house that trees fell on during Katrina. His name is Big Head. He's not real bright but he's a sweetie. He's the same dog as is in my avatar at obedience school graduation.

Cute, cute, cute Liz Glad they arrived well and appears Big Head has a new job

The first thing I saw when I got out of bed yesterday morning was his butt sticking out in the hall way while his big head was watching his babies. Made me smile.

As if by magic this building showed up in just the right place while I was at work. It was owned and neglected by my neighbor's worthless grandson and family. I spied it and thought, "Chicken House". The grandparents were going to push it in a pile with other junk and burn it. Granted, it needs a wee bit of TLC but what it needs is stuff I can do.
I will take advantage of having no appointments at work tomorrow. I will tear off the shingles first so I can determine the condition of the plywood. Then I'll pry off the wafer board. There are two floor joists that need to be replaced. I hope there aren't more. I know I have to replace a few of the 2X6's that hold up the roof.
I don't know what I want the finished product to look like. It has to look utilitarian because that's it's first job. It also must look attractive but not "cute". When my neighbors who gave it to me and moved it for me wander down to say, "hi" I want them to feel good about having done me such a big favor. I heard that getting it moved and set in place was not a piece of cake for those involved.

Watch where you step Liz.
Nice find. Let's see, TLC, Timber, Lumber and Construction.

You have your work cut out Liz but the end result should be well worth the effort.
