In a tank of 11 juvenile discus fish I have one oddball. I do not know if it enjoys clowning around or has something wrong with it. I actually enjoy watching it every day. I have a bubble wand located at the back of my aquarium. This fish seems to enjoy riding the bubbles from the bottom to the top. It will do this several times and then quit for a while. Sometimes it may swim horizontally on its side. And sometimes, it swims in a back and forth jerking motion. Otherwise, this fish seems perfectly healthy. It eats well and shows no s/s of illness. So is this fish just a clown or is something wrong with it.

A video would dhelp
It may be a weak fish and the current may simply be taking it on a ride. I have seen this happen with sick fish in the past.

I had a fish do this I had bought as a baby before I found Simply. It would skim across the surface of the water on its side swim up and down in the bubbles like you described swim around upside down. Crazy stuff. Never could figure out what was wrong. Only issue I saw it had was a defective gill plate. That plate was very short. Surprisingly it survived and is now the boss of the tank. Maybe the open gill was irritating it I don't know. But it's fine now. A video would help though.
