Believe me guys, they both have red eyes. But yea, from the pics it's really hard to see the red color.

Sometimes when you take picture of albinos, their eyes look darker than their actual eyes.

Fair enough, love the snakeskin btw. Exactly why is it hard to capture the red eye in a photo if I might ask?

So the color of the wrigglers does not prove the pair are albino? The pair do not turn dark while they carry fry does not prove they are albino? Does Jackie need to put the camera lighting right on the eyes so he can prove his pair are abino?

    Jackie,

Awesome fish and photo. Keep posting.

No it does't Pb, golden, and snow white fry are all light colored, some more so than others.

The pair do not turn dark while they carry fry does not prove they are albino?
Again, no it doesn't, see above

Does Jackie need to put the camera lighting right on the eyes so he can prove his pair are abino?
I didn't ask him to "prove" anything, I asked is this was a photo issue and if he was sure they were both albino....

    Jackie,

Awesome fish and photo. Keep posting.
I agree, Jackie the pictures are fantastic and its a great pair.

On the other hand, PP_GBR, read more, post less.

And for the record this post:

Fair enough, love the snakeskin btw. Exactly why is it hard to capture the red eye in a photo if I might ask?
I am asking Jackie as a photographer what makes it hard to capture the red pupil, I am asking out of curiosity, nothing else.......

C'mon guys, lets not make a mess in this thread, shake *imaginary* hands and be friends

nCognito asked a great question, I know sometimes albino's eyes look dark in photos, but I don't know why. May be it has something to do with light. I was waiting for the answer from Jackie as well.

IMO the reason why is that because in real their eyes are abnormally very dark red, the others albino what I've seen have lighter red color than those two though.

Do you by any chance use an overhead flash? I seen these being used at NADA by Matt, it makes a white background appear dark, wondering if it did the same to the eyes? I know my on camera flash seems to make even black pupils look red

I usually use the flash too, that could be also another reason.

Yes, I was going to mention this. Typically, when you bounce a flash, or aim a flash directly down, you create a shadow. In this case, the eyeball itself is creating a darker looking shadow that gets rid of the red eye. If you were to photograph it straigh on, or at a bounced angle, then it would be more apparent.
