Bump. No replies. They keep doing it! Any similar experiences?
Lately my wild Cuipeuas starting chasing my corydoras away whenever they come in the open. I have had the 7 discus for more than an year now, but only in the last month or so I have seen engaging in this type of behavior. They used to be indifferent to the cories. Has anyone experienced this?

I added six cories to my wild tank about three weeks ago. I was worried because the cories were a bit small. so far my wilds just ignore them.
I have 1 wild Heckel Cross that hates cory's and chases them when they are in his territory. The other 5 Heckel's pay no attention to the cory's.
Yes, this is happening in my tank. I bought a new 3 inch discus and it chases and tries to attack my Cory who now never comes out anymore. I have 5 other discus who have never cared about the Cory but my new smallest discus is now attacking him after living with him peacefully for weeks. Not sure what to do because the sand needs the Cory to keep it clean and I'm noticing more small hairlike worms now that the Cory doesn't come out anymore.
how many cories do you have. I added six more for a total of 12. they feed right in with the discus. so far no problems.
Mauro, this still ongoing? thoughts here are a pair protecting a spawning site.
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Ok Mauro, hope you come home to fry

I have a discusfish who is harassing the guianacaras of me.I have brochis splendens myself but never experencied any problems like that.
A couple days ago, we lost a young longfin panda cory & have a young albino sterbai cory that lost an eye from our 3.5"-4.5" discus. The discus tried to go after our bristlenose plec pair & our Carly's cory pair, but a couple well timed tail slaps discouraged them from continuing & they have not been aggressive towards anyone else in the tank. I thought our discus were a bit young to start pairing off, but they started the shimmy dance this morning.
The injured albino sterbai cory, it's twin & the remaining longfin panda are now relaxing in a molly tank.

No aquatic creatures were harmed in the creation of this signature, although a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
I've lost 1 bn and 9 difft cories (6 sterbai and 3 laser reds). Randomly in a course of several months 1 by 1 they got eaten. My discus like to hunt I guess so now I don't keep anything and changed to a bare bottom tank and took my drift wood pieces out.

One of my friends fed her discus a mix which included catfish meat, then noticed her discus attacked her cory cats.
I think some discus just don't like catfish as tankmates. I have had discus that hated otocinclus (although she had good reason to when a couple tried to latch onto her - I removed them after that happened a couple of times); she's flare up her gills and charge right at them.

I've lost around 12 cories to my discus. The sole remaining survivor is "One-Eyed Jack" for obvious reasons. Tough little fish! My discus will sometimes go after the German Blue Rams, but the rams are quicker than the cory and not always on the floor of the tank where gettin' nailed by a discus against the glass has gotta hurt
