    Default tailstanding at water surface

noticed a few days ago one adult discus facing glass near surface not eating (same behavior as when there fanning on eggs but no eggs and not eating]

I do weekly water changes 75-90% and have had no issues for almost 3 years.

did aprox 75% water change early this week at the time i noticed he wasnt rite.

did water change last night 95% and fish is now pointing up 45 degrees at surface.

Increased temp from 84 to 87 this morning.

all other fish are fine and eating well

almost out of frozen food and been feeding tetra bits past 2 weeks 90 % of the time...... no did not soak bits prior to feeding

water quality is always great fish have not been remotely ill in over 2 years

swim blatter? or perhaps something else?

tank is 150 gal with 60 gal sump water quality always xlnt been keeping fish and corals for over 20 years discus for about 7 years now im just stumped here please advise only if you have experanced this
    or a well educated guess.

    thanks for your time
    Dalin.

Tricky without having the form filled out (http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...lease-complete). Till we can get more info, perhaps consider putting this fish in a qt tank since/if the other fish are ok and not subject them to unnecessary treatment.

Thought i made it pretty clear that my water quality is as good as it gets.
he was put into qt 2 days ago dosed 2 tsp Epsom. lowered water level and raised it a few cycles and he is doing great
will keep in qt may treat for worms but doubt it.
I am now certain it was due to loading up on dry bits lesson learned.

ALWAYS SOAK DRY BITES/PELLETS PRIOR TO FEEDING DISCUS!

    PLEASE CLOSE THREAD
