Are you asking a question? If you are just change water. If you try to mess with ph it'll waste time and money. Now if you have a ph swing you can age your water. If you weren't asking a question just ignore this
I know no one here knows me...but ive been browsing the forums especially this one and if I can just say one thing without incurring the wrath of the regulars...
if you are raising growing fish... just give them clean water... lots of water changes (as much as you feel comfortable with) no chems
let them be

Correct if there isn't an issue with it why mess with it?? Lots of good clean water with a stable PH and reasonable mineral content.
Thanks Timmy

For those that don't know Darren he had a very popular discus forum that started 15 or 20 years ago. He has been around discus a long time. It is good to see him back. On the water most of the experienced people around here preach to keep it clean and leave the chemicals out if possible.

I agree with John and Larry on Clean Water. Don't mess with the water, just keep it clean and consistent with the water change routine and enjoy your Discus. Unless you can speak Discus language and talk to your Discus and ask them what will make them happy. I find it is best to get your Discus to get accustom to your routine rather than you trying to get use to them.

Darren, glad to see you here!
