Take the fish and perform either a salt dip or a PP did. Then place the fish in a sterile QT tank, dose with furan-2 and kanamycin.

Start performing daily water changes on your display tank of at least 80% daily for a week to "flush"the system, then perhaps lower to 50% daily for another week.

Your fish appear to have columnaris, is this kind of a fuzzy looking patch?

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a shot... and yes, it started as a fuzzy patch.

Your going to need a qt tank for this, don't do a salt dip (or pp) and return the fish back into the display tank, Issues such as this are almost always the result of poor water quality.

first perform one of either a salt dip OR a PP dip them place int the tank with the furan 2. Not sure how well they erythromycin would mix with the furan-2, this I have not tried and until and if I ever do, would not recommend.
