    Default Wild Discus + Altums

Hello from Singapore! I am been lurking on the forums for a while since I started out keeping wild discus. I have learnt a lot from SD including seafood mix recipes, how to treat diseases, etc - so thanks to everyone who has been contributing.

Here's sharing my tank of 5x Wild Discus (from Hudson) and 6 Altums. The Discus have been with be for close to 3 years while the Altums are a year old. Hope you like them!

    Full Tank Shot..

    A Curuai Royal..

    A Guariba

    Another Guariba Semi Royal...

    Begging for food...

    Altums...

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. It's been a journey.

This is how the tank looks like on Day 1. I under-estimated the tank size and the woods that I bought were extremely underwhelming.

There was this store in Singapore (Green Chapter) that relocated and brought in a good amount of large size Malaysian driftwood. I managed to grabbed a few of them.

Decided to add a slimline background to the tank so that overall - the tank looks brighter.

Manacapuru angels were added as well as some pothos.

Got bored and removed the background (thankfully, slimlines are not fixed to the back). Decided to do "semi planted" and added narrow leaf java ferns to the wood.

Thank you! Have been trawling the forum for ideas before setting up! I think it helps in getting things right in the first place vs correcting later.

Haha, yeah, that was one of my favourites as well. But the daily dosing of K and Co2 got a bit heavy one the pocket.

I am using LED - there are a couple of Mazarra razors above the tank.

Hello fellow Singaporean, your tank is beautiful, and those wild discus looks very nice.
I didn't dose K and Co2, so I have to live with slow growing plants and algae.

Hello there! Seen you in arofanatics. Hope you are enjoying the Andrew Soh books. I realize that after a while, my narrow leaf java ferns start having holes if I don't dose K.
