Help save my friend! Swollen head on my galaxy discus!

1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?
-help last night I discover some puss not my galaxy turq so I quick removed it from my tank and place in a hospital with just salt. This morning when I woke up the puss scab was off and there was a hole in the head which might lead to infection due to the size of the swollen head. It looks a little fatigue today and doesn't really swim around.


2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.
Add salt and API General cure to a 20 gallon

4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish.
20 gallon hospital, fish is 5+

5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).
50% water change

6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?
2 days, yes BB tank

7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.
No

Sounds like hole in the head, you gave the conditions for the hospital tank, is the main tank is planted/substrate/community, probably weekly water changes?

Yes main tank is 100 gallon water, with a 40% wc 4x a weeks. I notice it get bully in the main tank, could it be a wound fr bullying? And what should I do? I'm at work and cant monitor the fish. I added API General cure this morning and I believed that cover hole in head, but wanted to see if there's anything else I can help aid it with?

The swelling almost looks internal.

Yes Pat it look like maybe the wound got infected the swelling make it look like a flower horn now.. And tips on what I should put in the tank?

I would go with furan-2 dose as per directions.

thank you guys for the advice, but when i got back from work today the galaxy was already out of it. his head had a very big hole and was very swollen. R.I.P galaxy :/
