I have the ads here set to block many types of ads(gambling,religion,politics,Porn etc), some do sneak thru the system. I will look to see if I can block that one, but we don't actually control the exact ads you see. You actually do. Google selects ads based on related websites you visit. The way to avoid targeted ads on any websites is to clear your internet cache/cookies regularly.

Don, you don't see any ads because you are a premium member. Premium membership holders like homesteader,silver,gold, platinum and sponsors do not see ads, just the banners at the forum top and bottom.

So the take home is, the ads are determined by the members viewing history and a good way to not see ads is to become a Premium Member...

I am aware and that's what I was wondering. Which web sites did I visit that would make the ad engine thinks that I would be interested in chineseladies.com ... Can't think of any ... My yahoo mail home page always shows a list of single white women I can meet in the area. All I do is visit simplydiscus.com. May be discus keepers are being stereotyped as lonely geeks who can use company of opposite sex.

Do you shop online at ethnic grocery stores? I shop at http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/ and watch anime all the time...so I get all sorts of ads related even remotedly... I also shop for camping and survival gear, so I am peppered with ad there..

I believe is that What it comes down to is what the site has in their keywords and tags for the site..

Maybe they do list " Lonely geeks with Fish" in that chineseladies.com site

Adding insult to injury. I'm getting all kinds of ad action on this thread. Just saw one for (50+) DC Area Dating. Man, I have a few more years before getting there. I am filing a bug report with google.
