Importing Fish

Has anyone here ever imported wild fish from their source, such as the Amazon or Asia?? I am wondering how i could go about doing this. Are there import licenses needed? do I pick up the fish at the airport?? How do I pay for something like this since it is coming from overseas?? I've never had fish shipped to me from outside the country. Thanks, john

You will need vet clearence certificate from supplier.Relevent papers for clearence you can get a agency to assist.depending were in the world you situated.but im also keen to hear how to get wilds as i dnt know who does them.I import tropical fish to south africa for resale but have never been lucky enough to find some one to ship wilds so far.But depending where you are i think Discus hans got some for someone not too long ago.do correct me if im wrong but quite sure saw it in a thread somewhere.And Perhaps Pat could chime in too.please i also want wilds

There is a much easier way to get wilds. There is a sponsor here on the Forum his name is John and he is the owner of Freshwater Tropicals he just received a very large shipment of wild discus from South America. Heres the link to his page here..
