sneaky sneaky! Well I'm sure John is going to have plenty to go around, he doesn't just get a few at a time... unless supply is unnaturally low. Wild Rams don't have too much of a following I believe because the domestic ones have at least a few quality breeders.

There is a father-son team that raise rams out of Escondido, CA. YUNITE SDRAMS. Has anyone ordered from them? I see they use Ebay/Aquabid for distribution as well.

I have, pretty good fish health wise but you may or may not get fish that I would consider top quality in the looks department when ordering there. Hardy compared to LFS rams

Sadly my rams seem to have caught something from my wild tetras because my quarantine wasnt thorough enough.... some worms appeared shortly after they went into the tank so i've been doing battles with parasites and am struggling to keep the planted tank clean.

There is an SD member named Bilbo whose operation seems to be a step above Yunite as far as fish quality and form. His latest batch may have been all pre ordered out now though.

The Yunite rams that you ordered... were they Young? How did they color up as they matured? How did they look 1 year later?

They are small, young adult Rams, some colored up beautifully within a month, some remained dull as they matured, some seemed stunted. Definitely not top notch show fish but for the price i paid for them, I would gladly do it again. I bought the 20 pack and got something like 8 pairs of fish from it of varying qualities.

Sadly, right now, the same tank that holds the Rams has an awful parasitic worm problem that I have been trying to battle. As it is right now weeks of prazi isnt doing it and it is a planted tank that is well established so I do not want to do anything crazy involving stronger meds. The worms seemed to come from some cardinals I brought in, quarantined for 2 weeks with no symptoms and a few started showing worm infestation right as they went in... Its here in SD where I found that 2 month quarantines are how things should be done..

The Rams were great while they were unharmed, ate immediately as they went into the tank, active, friendly fish.

It would be a better solution to remove the fauna from the tank and treat in a BB tank. Treating in a planted tank can be an uphill battle at times.
