Re: Plywood aquarium experiences
I completed the demo tank, however the sealent I used was based on a portland cement and plastic membrane mixture, when it was still wet it had a light greay color which I didn't like but looked acceptable. However, when it dried it turned to a dark grey concrete like color which looks ugly and I wont be using that in my display tank.
Epoxy rated for potable water in my area costs 160$ a 1/2" acrylic sheet costs 186$ so I will go with a full acrylic tank instead for this project

Re: Plywood aquarium experiences
make sure the acrylic is cast and that the tank is no more than 2 feet high, otherwise you should be good!
just prep your edges as nicely as possible to avoid a bubbled seam taking care not to round the edges.
