I'm looking for a way to filter out copper from my tap water as the tank is filled. My house and hot water tank have all copper pipes. Any ideas for a solution would be appreciated!

I have all copper pipes and never felt the need to "filter" out copper. What gives? Is the water very acidic, well or municipal

I use these: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U1OQ02M/...b+water+filter same concept way cheaper. ITs just an inline carbon filter you screw on to the end of a spigot or garden hose. I use them to help filter out minerals but I too have copper pipes in my old house and have never had an issue even before using filters to fill my aging barrel.

I was thinking since i've treated for gill flukes twice and they still breath rapidly and scratch on the substrate. I thought i should rule out heavy metals.
