My Albino Platinums have a dark red pupil just like the ones pictured. Rufus

Unless Im seeing it wrong,the red surrounding is the iris,and the black center is the pupil.In an albino this is clear,or another shade of red,being clear you see the blood beneath.Nice looking fish but the way I see it,not albinos.

Bill, When I have attempted to photograph my AP's the same thing happens and the pupil looks black but it's a darker red. Rufus

Hi all,
The albinos have deep red pupils, in certain lighting during taking pics of them makes them dark or black. sample pictures below....dark, black or red?

Different albinos color form, most people think of the Rabbit Eye as albinos but there are different color forms. Some breeders shine a flashlight directly on the eye
just to see if there is any red color.

Wow these guys are really nice. I do love this strain alot. Thanks again for sharing. Your pictures compensate from not having them in my tanks, even if now I really want them.
