If you've been thinking about geting one.......DO IT ! Absolutely insane !!!!!!!! Very unique, full of color, gorgeous, and great pattern. These photos were taken the following day (with a cell phone too) after moving her from the QT tank to her new home. Light fixture has 1 watt LED's, combo of 10k white and 460nm actinic.

Thank you Miranda! It is always a pleasure to do business with you. She arrived perfectly packaged and in excellent condition.

Wow really nice! So big and round as well. Love the shape!!

I am such a fan and lover of this cross. I'm kinda wishing I had the tank, space and cash to do a pack of them. They are all so different, unique and lovely. I'm enamored by them!

What happened to the tail I see a nick there...?

Steve, thanks for posting the pictures. She is definitely a beauty. Sold the last one of the bunch today. Hopefully we will get more in the next shipment. Larry, the Curipera Cross that we had were from Lawrence Soon, Lucky Tropicals. They are a cross between a wild Curipera and a Red Cover. You can see all of our discus at www.chicagodiscus.com ... Why do you guys call this cross curipera ? I thought it was clear in some other discussion not long ago that it was Cuipeua

Please correct me if I am wrong.

i struggled with this name as well. Some breeders are still calling it one name and others another. Pat knows the most current name. They both mean the same. There is evidently an old monicker and a new one and I'm still confused! LOL! Rufus

The exact name is Cuipeua, this is the name of the river from brazil.
But in asia,it's difficult to call it,this is why asian changed the name as Curipera .
This fish is wild curpeua cross with red cover .This is why i called it curipera cross .
I must correct it,this is not breed by 2 wild cuipeua crosss F1 ,this is wild cuipeua cross with Red cover and those red cover is 10 years back already ,don't know how many generation already .
Original Red cover is from China ,i brought back from china at year 2004.
Just that female wild cuepeua cannot lay egg ,i use male cuipeua cross with female red cover .

Now I am really confused because you have used the following spellings: cuipeua, curpeua and cuipeua. Please clarify what is the spelling. Thanks. Rufus
