I just got altums. Now how do I use this and does it soften water?
Amazon has for sale which one is good one to buy?

Dave, this is the one I buy http://www.amazon.com/Davidsons-Tea-...=1418510361989. Place a small amount in a media bag and set it in the tank. I doubt the small amount will soften the water. I use RO to do that.

There are more benefits then the ones mentioned here such as having a calming effect to altums and adding antioxidants and antibacterial components according to the folks at finarama http://www.finarama.com/forum/.

Concur, as well as is stronger recommended for humans for his health beneficts, the antioxidants propities make it an anticancer, blood pressure, collict for babies. some people claim it helps with people suffering from AIDS. There is no caffein in it.
some researches using on frogs to avoid diseases.
I think I will share it with my fish for now on.

Just here underway on the gulf , but the wife start to cycle a 90 gallon tank for me, we will do together me being away via email and pictures,can't wait to set my rest of the tanks . I hope to be state side Mayport in July. Which should give me plenty of time for the 2015 wild season.
