Default A Fallen Member (Illinois) Benefit Sale

    Hello Friends,

In a previous post, I noted that a very good friend (Mike Beranek) and discus lover passed away last week at the age of 49 (almost 50) from a massive heart attack.

A little bit about Mike can be read here.

    http://www.strangfh.com/home/index.c...834/id/2878711

I attended the wake for Mike yesterday with my wife and let me tell you how much of a popular person Mike was; it took us 40 minutes just to get to his family. That is how long the line was at 4:00 in the afternoon, just an hour after the church opened up for public viewing. Their were hundreds of people still waiting by the time we got to see his family.

    On to the fish.

His family asked me to take care of his fish and find them a good home. Here are some picks of Mike's fish. I picked them up and they settled in nicely in my tank. But I do need the space so hopefully we can sell them all very quickly. Again, this sale is going to go to his family to help them out in this time of need.

There are 15 discus, 12 Altum Flora (3 runts that Mike didn't have the heart to cull), 1 blue diamond male and 2 snake-skins (pair, not proven yet).

There are 2 proven pair of Altum Flora (they have the albino gene from the mother which was an Albino Red Spotted Green) $200.00 per pair

The Snake-skins (not proven) are $150.00

The rest of the discus (not including the runts) are at a very respectable $60.00 each (size range from 4.5 to 5.5)

If you are interested in all I feel $650.00 is very respectful. If someone does decide to take them all, I will include 2 young beautiful Marlboro Reds (4.5/5").

This is a local pickup because I don't have the means to ship them right now.

I will PM my PayPal information to anyone who would like to help.

Thank you all very much for thoughts, prayers and support for our Fallen Member.

    Regards,

    Jeff

    Jeff,

Maybe if someone out there near you can help out and ship them for you can widen area for potential buyers. These really are some nice looking fish at a great price and for a great cause.

So sorry friends for not being around the last couple of days. I have been helping my wife with her ailing parents.

The snakeskins are now sold. But I do have all the Altum Flora's and male Blue Diamond available. I am talking to a friend about shipping information. I will get back to everyone this evening. And thank you all very much!!!!

    Hello again,

Here is my PayPal account jgsg94@ameritech.net

Anyone locally interested in coming by, give me a call or text and I will discuss when we can arrange to meet. This means a lot to me and it will mean even more to Mike's family.

Those interested in the fish outside IL I am still checking if I can get a source.

Thank you so very much again.

    Hello friends,

I am very happy to announce that all of Mike's discus are spoken for from Meng and Kou in Milwaukee. They drove down and just left with buckets of fish.

I appreciate the thoughts and concerns from all of you. They are going to a good home.

Mike's family would also like to thank the forum as well for their support.
