New to Forum

I just recently joined the forum. I have read through many threads finding good information. Found enough good information that I gave myself a discus tank for Christmas. The discus arrived yesterday. In just the one day they have been interesting to watch as they figure out their new home.

I have had aquariums since I was in the 4th or 5th grade. I started with guppies and then moved to swordtails, platys, and mollies. I then moved to community tanks, then to oscars, then to more community tanks and an angel tank. I currently have a swordtail tank, goldfish tank, and now the discus tank. Will be setting up an angel tank this week.

I live on a farm and teach high school sciences. I am no stranger to a variety of plant and animal species.

Looking forward to learning more about discus here from the many experienced with discus.

I trust you are following the discus-keeping guidelines contained here in the forum to ensure you enjoy success maintaining them. Lots of large regular fresh water changes are the key.
