Miniatures require less land per head. Thanks bigger cousins..2 per 5 acre for pasture grazing. ..its a niche like discus.. but people cant afford hundreds of acres.. so this help the small acre rancher

I had a full size belted and a Scottish highland along with my chickens and my boy Mick, a Belgian. Unfortunately I had to give the cows and Mick to my friend up the road after Mick threw me after being startled by a deer. Broke 2 vertebrae, 4 ribs and lot of muscle damage. I got to tell you those 2 cows were really cool. If you can get them, do. Still have my chickens.

my husband is into cattle. we have two miniature horses and he occasionally gets beef cows to buy and sale at the cattle sale. the miniatures are bringing a lot of money per pound right now, as is all beef. As we all know beef prices are up up up. According to his observations, the miniature beef breeds (Herefords, longhorn/shorthorns, black baldies etc) are bringing just as much per pound as the big ones. Now is the time to sell beef cows, unless you can find a steal, it is not the time to be buying beef cows bc prices by the pound are up.
