Stupid mistake

For anyone contemplating hatchetfish with discus or any fish, if you have an overflow cover that bad boy up! Lost two out of a group of twelve over six hours before I realized where they were disappearing to. Thank goodness for filter socks or they would have been shredded by my return pump. I had some clear 1/4" bird screen from making a top for the tank that fits over the teeth on my overflow perfectly and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Sometimes I forget to close the glass lid under my canopy and find a dead one on the floor.I lost two recently;have 10 left.
