I am glad you mentioned that Pat, should I be concerned as much with wilds about the bars? With domestics, and with festivums I always knew when something was up bc of the stress bars but it seems with wilds you always see a little bar....as you can see from all three pics, there is one dominant already he is the one on the far right in pic 1 and 3 and the one staring straight ahead in the middle pic. I would say he is ring leader at this point, he is normally the leader of the school and the one to stare me straight in the eyes it seems. Did I mention I love love love these fish!

Thank you YSS for the kind comments. I too have been surprised at how quickly these seem to be acclimating. They are still quite scared of my dog who loves to stare out the window directly beside the fish...my festivum used to tease him...he is a tall dog so his head is eye level with the bottom third of the tank.

I have found wild greens to show their bars more readily then other wilds so when they do how a bit of bar it is not necessarily something to be concerned about. The group of Tefe I currently have are always pushing each other about and the ones being bullied will show more bar.

I personally like the bar, which is why I am drawn to wilds I think. I hope they eat tonight.

I generally start new wilds off with a little bit of flake...wilds from John will generally take it first time.

these guys are really gaining some confidence after a morning water change and a light bloodworm feeding. they do not have the voracious appetites I want to see yet but they have eaten twice...look at these halos...they show their bars still when I approach the tank but do not scurry to the back corner as quick...

These guys don't seem to care to eat anything other than frozen bloodworms. Ive tried flake, blackworm flake, two types of pellets and Al's FDBW and nothing suits them other than bloodworms. Any advice or just give it time??

Offer what you want them to eat as the first meal of the day. It wouldn't take long.
