The same thing happens to me on my iPad it's usually the first post so if someone posts a video it sucks cause it cuts most of it out.

I have done my best to keep the ads to a minimum, and as unobtrusively as I can and have taken painstaking steps to be transparent about it and about anything regarding ads and banners. Occasionally the ads may be a distraction but it can't be helped at this time. Please understand that I would much prefer we did not have them..I avoided and resisted the ads for years and years. I just can't do that any longer. These ads are helping me bring you the forum for free. I'm sorry if they inconvenience anyone, but facts are I need them.

If anyone does not want to see them, and wants to support the forum... the fix is easy. Subscribe to a premium membership here..

I was away from Simply for a long time but I assure you Al and Ryan did their best to run the site without ads and for free for years. I always appreciated their hard work, but knew that it was inevitable. If it helps run the site, so be it, but could they be placed between posts rather than on the message? Maybe this could help solve the problem?

This will solve the problem too SimplyDiscus Premium Memberships

$25 - no ads and you get a pretty little icon next to your name - not to mention you help support the forum.

I paid for a premium membership not to get rid of the ads but because I figure this forum has saved me well over $500 in bad, uninformed decisions related to buying and keeping discus.

The premium memberships are the way to go! Given what it costs to keep discus, no ads are a side perk compared to the value of the info here. I probably couldn't keep discus without SD. And we're lucky to have John as a great rudder, too!

Thanks for all the feedback. I don't mind the ads except when it blocks a video.
