Congrats Bill - You have a new buddy
Well,as some here know,we recently put our Round Hound down. She had a good life.We lasted about a week before we decided to get another dog,and belive it or not,the pup we applied for got adopted out,and returned, and we got him.Picked him up today.Moose, who is now re-named Bishop, was posted as a Lab/great Dane,or Doberman mix.At home he seems to be a Lab Pit mix.Still figuring it out with Thor,Our Lab/Shep mix,but nothing to not be expected. The previous family just must not have realized what it is like to bring a dog into a home that already has a dog.Pics don't do it justice, but he has a cinder-block head and a beautiful bronze Doberman coat.[IMG][/IMG]

Hey Bill congrats and he's a beautiful dog! It's always so hard to NOT get one after a situation like that. But I'm sure Bishop will have just as good of a life as your Jackie, and she would want you to give that privilege to another dog...Bill
Good for you Bill, and little does Bishop know yet, but he is a very lucky dog and will have a great life from now on. Thanks for adopting him!

Very nice, how well is he adapting? What prompted the previous owner to return it?

Looking forward to meeting the new addition. There, that sounds much better than the original he'll fit right in around there with a cinder block head.

Hes around 7 months old and weighs 56lbs.
We speculate they didn't know how to handle a second dog/big powerful dog. They had a pug and and supposivly somebody got nipped. He didn't last there 24hr.Our gain.A few toy/rawhide issues, but were on top of it.My wife now works from home and Im on seasonal lay-off,so were here to work with him When Im not doing wc's,lol.

good looking dog, I agree lab/pit mix. that will be a good mix of loyalty, intelligence and obedience. with the hopeful retrieving abilities of the lab

That is great Bill. There is definitely pitbull in there . Reminds me of a chocolate pit I had a few years back.

He has the webbed toes,so they got the lab part right.24hrs and things are settling in.Thor went from "what the hell?" to starting to play.Bit of a commotion with a 90lb dog and a 55lb pup chasing around the kitchen island.

Looking good Bill. Hope Thor and him will become best buddies!
