Lol , we went lab,lab/shep still have,lab/pit,which brought us to pit. I used to say lab mix but now F'em I tell them it's a pit bull and chuckle at the looks.

My current dog is a Pit named Tonks. She has had 2 surgeries, 1 for a broken knee when she was a few months old, and the other recently when she got caught under our RV and lacerated her back more than 12" across! She's also spayed so I guess that counts as 3 ().

Either way, she is a tough cookie. I swear, when half of her back skin was dangling away and we could see her muscles and all, she was wagging her tail as if nothing had happened. It was quite incredible actually.

I had so many people, including family members, asking why the heck I would pay thousands of dollars for a surgery on a dog? I tried to explain that she isn't just a "dog" to us, but a part of the family. I hope that they one day understand that love between a dog and its master.
