Losing a friend of the family can be a heart breaker. Congratulations on your new addition. Just my opinion, feel he may be great dane mix. I have had pits and danes both. Has the ears, head shape is more like dane - not as broad across the forehead like a pit, and longer in the nose. We currently have two danes, both two years old....sisters....left behind as puppies....so happy for you. Julia

And thanks everyone.I really don't know why he got returned except he was ment to be with us.If anyone has had a puppy,he is no worse then average.Thor was way worse and more hyper then he is now. That being said Bishop is a force of nature and If he decided to eat a hole in our wall I wouldn't be surprised, but he is so far blending in well.

Starting to think it's not a good idea to be picked as a pup by us. We lost bishop about two months ago to what might have been a genetic thing. Appears to have developed a hole in his lung and passed quite swiftly. We lasted a little longer, and partially because I'm a big advocate of adopting, but this particular agency was taking forever. We were 20 days into the process and still no meeting with a dog. So I did something I hadn't done in 20 year and bought a puppy. Under the circumstances we still believe we rescued him. Named him Hudson. Bishop was named after the android in Aliens and Hudson is named after the Bill Paxton marine. IMG_3019.jpg

I'm so sorry about Bishop. He looked like he would have made a good dog.

That is indeed a pure pit. I've owned pits for over 16yrs now. I have made it my mission to change people's misconceptions about them.

Such a pretty dog. We unfortunately had to just put our pit down at only 7 years old. Was very tragic and heartbreaking. They are my favorite breed by far. Best dog a person could ask for

I hate how people judge them without fully knowing them. They are the most loving, loyal and obedient dogs

I hear you Ryan. I stated earlier we were that way. Honestly wanted a more affectionate breed and lol that's a pit bull. Sorry about your dog. 7 yrs isn't long enough.
