This discus was sold as a blue scorpion by Alberta Discus in Canada. he doesnt look much like the one posted above... he came a bit stunted, with big eyes, and his crooked bars arent perfect, but he is healthy and happy and has a great personality. he shimmers like crazy in the light, looks almost metallic, sometimes with a violet hue. such a pretty fish

i didnt choose the one that was sent to me, so i was surprised when it arrived. my guy's bars arent usually out either, but he flashes them whenever i hold the camera up. ive grown to like him, esp the metallic sheen which i cant seem to capture with the camera.

Have a pic? I really like this fish. Noticed today he is getting a red border on the tip of his fins. May be from the bio pigment FDBW and considered undesirable but I personally think it looks really cool
