Very interesting, can you give more details?. Are you using regular solenoid or gravity feed solenoid? I bought some gravity feed solenoids and float valve switches already, just need to put them together.
Been thinking hard on how to do simple water changes daily so i invented my own system using IP WIFI switch to control solenoid valve on/off to drain water to my toilet and using a pump with wifi switch to pump fresh dechlorinated water in. It is used together with a float valve to prevent overflow.
So far it works showing some pics and video

Cool system. I'd still advise on manual siphoned for tank floor

"I use the gravity fed solenoids valve" ??
Does that mean the value can open with 0 psi? Where and what value did you use?
Thanks
Ron

Tony,
1/2 inch sure is small for the drain, I was expecting some between 1 and 2 inches.
Ron
these are the reliable ones. I'm using this.
You can also purchase this to remotely switch the valve and you can buy some 12v Adapters to fit to the solenoid valves.

Eddie,
I do not understand. I was expecting a listing of a valve, instead it brough up a bunch of smart sockets (whaterver that is).
Ron
Cool idea Eddie. I didn't know that wifi outlet existed .
