    Thanks Pat.

This morning after having two slices of Chicago Stuffed pizza from Papa Murphy's for dinner last night, lost of water, and yesterdays ride I had a fasting blood glucose level of 117. I am finding spending a few hours a week on a bike to be much less expensive than taking pills

I will agree that a few hours on your bike is less expensive than taking pills. I started cycling for my health 4 years ago due to weight and hyper tension(was on meds). I no longer have hyper tension and feel so much better. Just hard to find time to cycle these days with my busy schedule. Kudos to you for taking the time and effort to get healthy the natural way. See you on Strava.

Look at the BKool Pro trainer or the Wahoo Kickr trainer as both can be used with BKools software/app that automatically changes the resistance of the trainer to simulate the grade of the road. You can input your routes into the BKool software/app, or ride other people's routes. you also can virtually ride with others and race others with this trainer.

I put my miles from October until March and some of my March miles on that trainer as by selecting a route you have a start and a stop point, and you aren't just sitting watching TV or reading (I just couldn't get motivated on a regular magnetic trainer).

And Congratulations Bill on getting rid of your pills and getting your hyper tension gone

okay did a trial run on the trainer of the 25 mile course for the Spokane Tour de Cure that is coming up for me the middle of this month

Just completed the Tour de Cure 25 mile route that will be in Spokane, WA on 16 May. I asked for and was sent the GPS file to enter into my trainer program.

Just under 1:30 total time. No time out of the saddle, but did rest for a minute here and there to lower heart rate and wipe brow and get water.

This afternoon I bought and had the bike shop install and Ultegra chain for the 10 speed cassette, and it is way smoother than the 105 chain I just broke

a good ride focusing on heart rate and cadence (trying to keep it at a solid 70rpm which with the pauses and rests gave me an average of 55 RPM

Spent the night in Airway Heights last night, got up had breakfast, and rode the 25 mile of the Tour de Cure. Airway Heights is anywhere from 1500 feet and more elevation than where I live in Boardman, OR. Two hours flat was my time.
