    Default Male Bristlenose

So he came out where I could get a shot of him through the glass.

this is the male of a breeding pair that has provided me a bunch of babies the other day.

I purchased this pair as a breeding pair so they would be big enough to not be eaten by the Raphael Striped Catfish that is in the tank.

So soon I will have young ready for selling and to add to another tank as a cleaning crew.

Just know that discus and others will eat the baby's. I used another tank that I would put the dad and baby's in. I would then put the dad back when all the little one's were out. Good luck Jeff.

When I saw babies I took the cave with the male in it and transported it to a 20 gallon that has the remnants of a previous batch of babies (the ones he wouldn't let out of the cave before he was packed to bring to me) and five bushynose plecos that are now 2.5-3 inches in length (and one male cherry shrimp that hitchhiked in).

Probably 25 to 50 babies from this batch.

I then put him and the cave back in the 75 gallon tank.

I feed the pleco 20 gallon tank veggie wafers, Ken's fish catfish pellets, Ken's fish sinking cichlid pellets, and raw veggies.
