I'm working on an aquaponics setup. Who is a good source for young tilapia in our area? (West coast, I'm in southern oregon)

Make sure they send plenty of females. Even juvies are simple to sex. Females have two openings and males have one opening plus a tab which later will become their
breeding tube. I trapped juvies and did an "all wild" (should be "all invasive") tank and at less than 2.5" they bred in my 55. The males build their nests right off my back deck and I feed dog food and bread every day into my brackish canal and they smash the surface. To catch one for dinner
I use a small piece of shrimp and throw it in the mix. Bamm! Up to 8#ers. Fresh fillets for dinner!! And yes, they will eat about anything, not just greens.
    Sorry, fish get me going.

Yes, they do. Originally from africa and being a mouth breeders, they spawn just like African Cichlids.
