ah, the Sony Nex3. The beginning of the mirrorless camera roadmap for Sony. I have shot with this little body and it is a delight to use. I actually ended up getting the Nex6 a few years back because of my use with the Nex3. Which lenses did you get and do you know how to switch the lens to manual mode? I am not sure if you are not hitting the MFD (minimum focal distance), but sometimes with a lens, it can not focus closer than a certain distance. This may be happening in some of your shots. Either way, very nice discus and nice photos. If you have questions about this body, send me a pm and we can chat

Well I got the 18-55mm, which I haven't really used yet.
I got the Promaster Spectrum 7 300mm Macro (?) which I've yet to figure out...
The pictures I posted are all with Ricoh/Rikenon 50mm

I'm using manual mode because other than the 18-55mm they don't have the autofocus option.

MFD no clue what so ever...

but thanks for the nice compliments, some of the discus are a bit stunted/runty but healthy.

all Rokinon lenses are manual focus . That makes it better for taking pics at times. The 18-55 may be your best bet if you aren't comfortable with manual focus.
