Story of big restart,first step:
I move my 5ft 105gal tank to darkest corner (emty)
And start to create Pro substrat: 1st. layer_Volcano ProScape 2x9L + biobacterial powder
2nd. layer _TropicaPlantGrowth
3rd. layer_inert gravel 2-3mm
Its 11:58p.m. in Riga that means tomorrow I'll start planting jobs.

I like the stone background.
Is it a styrofoam custom made?
Is it going to be a juwie growout tank or adult discus display tank?
Lets go:tank was restarted on first minute of 4th.september 2015.
Filter:Eheim 2128th 1050L/277gph its 3.2tank in h.(old filter with good bacterial capacity)
First waterchange after 21h=80L/21gal/24% white bacterial cloudiness are dissapered.(Tetra Bactozym 10$ in JBL volcano)
Like I said before Im using O.Knott method and it is:first 14days waterchanges every 3rd day 15%/50L/13gal than 20%weekly
Lights ON :first 2weeks/from 04.sept-17.sept/for six hours
from 3rd week/18.sept.+2h=8hours=2:00p.m-10:00pm than nightlight from 9:30-8:00a.m.
What's going on in these days with plants:
1.Valisneria Spiralis Tiger stop mortify(15%) and even start growing =7new healthy roots(1i)
2.Echinodorus Blehreri some leafs get brown and die off but have 5new salatgreen leafs
3.Cryptocaryne Pechi and Wisly dont lose any leaf and looks greate (it is slow growers)
4.Cryptocaryne Wendtii Green = great ,looks even bigger (loose just few leafs from hundred)
5.Cryptocaryne Brown (in a planting day all was a green)=leafs start to chenge colour! becomes brown-lightly healthy brown
6.Cryptocaryne Parva-carpet plant = not established yet but looks great under night light -in darkgreen colour, just few leafs loosed from a hundred.
Water are little brown coloured even after 14days/5wch x50L/13gal (I think its JBL volcano and TropicaPlantGrowth)
That 5stones are from my collection:every stone and inert gravel was carefully boiled and shower washed !
to be continued...

Good start. I always use caution with these type of substrates, but I have seen this particular substrate, and it is much finer than your regular run of the mill gravel. I wish you success raising out discus in this tank. Good luck.
