Nice looking discus Juris.Good luck with them.
From what you wrote in your post I have a remark on your filter flow rate. 250 gph is too low for a >100 gallon tank.
I would try putting the second one as a backup.
Do you have decent surface movement (oxygen)with this flow rate or at least an airstone in the tank?

Also if you can improve your WC regime.
It would be better and easier for you maybe if you do 2 x 70% weekly and cleaner water for your Discus instead of doing 15% every day.

    My Stendker Discus after 50days.
At last, all fishes are eating WELL.(like You Filip say:500gr 2nd GoodHeart blister gone in 20days!)
Im very hapy about Black Angel-its one of my favorit fish, after 43days fish start eat and are looking great.
Now Im thinking about RO5-75 (pH is too high=7.8) and how to delivery GoodHeart blisters from Berlin (http://www.diskusfischeberlin.de/) to Riga.

tank is really coming a long OP. ill admit I figured you would wind up with stunted discus trying to grow them out in a planted tank, and that you would fail like many before you have done. But the fish and tank look really good. the plants look great, especially the placement of the jungle val. crypts are getting really bushy

    Thank You for incoming replies.
Fish was pretty expensive for my wallet so I decide: if didnt have enough money ,i must do my best to get bigger and more expensive discusfish.Water smells good ,are clean, allways all food are eaten all in 2minutes.Of course I have all notes about all week waterworks.
In that 80days all fish was fed three times a day 1pm,5pm and 8pm.Results on hand:
biggest from 9cm grow up till 12+/4.7i (=+3cm/1.2i)
smallest from 6.5cm grow up till 10+/3.9i(=+3.5cm/1.4i)
Some brown algea still exist on val.and crypts.
pH are too high at 7.8 so next step in program:RO5-75 it will lover pH and brown algea.
All pics. was take by Sony mobile so arent good but fish are looking realy good.brilliant Turquoise looks great under night light but its just question of time and they will be looking good when reach 14cm/5.5i size.Biggest Blood Pigion Red looks cool today.DSC_0261.JPG

brilliant turquoise are your best fish IMO. They all look a tad bit on the skinny side but it may be because they are still young. Great looking fish.

What do you think made this planted tank a successful grow out tank compared to other planted tanks where the fish end up stunted?

Are you using pressurized CO2? I didn't see it mentioned. I would highly recommend it for a planted tank.
