    Default captive bred wilds?

Just a quick question, does anyone out there breed discus that still look like wild discus? If that makes sense. Like, wild discus look cool but from what I understand there isn't as much left and are more sensitive than tank raised. So does anyone breed discus that keep that wild look?

yes, there are a few people that breed them, but far less that are really successful. These discus would be called F1's or F2's which simply means they came from wild stock and how many generations removed they are. Many breeders tend to cross wilds with domestics as it is much easier this way, but breeding 2 wilds isn't as easy.

Try one of the sponsors here on simply Discus Hans. He has a few strains that resemble wilds.

I have had the same question in mind. It sure seems like an untapped market. I just ordered eight wilds Uatupa blues for lack of an alternative. Well, they should be cool.
