    Default Worms!!!

    OK, so.. here's the thing...

My fin kids have no issues. They're healthy as can be, and I've been following a regimen that works for a long time.

Today, when I did my water change, I noticed something on my tank walls. I have worms of some sort. They're black, about 1/4-3/8 inch long, and seem to have front "feet" like caterpillars. They move like caterpillars as well, with an up-and-down undulation rather than a side-to-side or expand-and-contact movement. I only saw 3 or 4 of them, but I figure that there are probably more that I can't see. What I think has hapened is a small insect of some sort has laid eggs in my tank via the openings for my tubing, and I am not too awfully worried about the fish, but I am watching them carefully none the less.

So, here's my question: Is there a general treatment that will treat the water column rather than the individual fish? I have had experience with parasites, and have had success with treating them, but this is the first time experience in "other" worms and bug larvae.

I would simply just net them out until they are all gone.
